Magpies x Project Ability
12 week series of online workshops with 6 artists with experiences of mental illness at Project Ability, Glasgow. 2020-21This was a dialogical project connecting strangers and centralising complex understandings of sentimentality within our individual worlds. With an aim to embody the conceptual magpie, the bird who gathers overlooked ‘shiny’ materials from his environment and hoards them within a nest space. We created an archive outside of the boundaries of common language relying upon both trust and individualism.
